Youth re-offending rife, Adelaide Advertiser reports

Australian Conservatives MLC Rob Brokenshire says that whilst a 'carrot and stick' approach is best with young repeat criminal offenders, for some 'more of the stick approach' is required.

The South Australian Conservatives representative was responding to statistics in the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper today that hundreds of young offenders were incarcerated in SA youth detention facilities. The data indicates a high level of repeat offending, as State Parliament considers the best approach to repeat youth offenders.
