Your Conservative party insurance policy in the Senate

July 25, 2018

A growing number of Australian voters - now over 30 per - have voted for parties other than Labor or the Liberals in the Senate over the past few elections. There will be crossbench senators in the next federal parliament.

Queensland Conservative Party Senate candidate Lyle Shelton says that whatever the final outcome at the next federal election, either a Liberals / National Coalition, or a Labor / Green alliance will form government in federal parliament's lower house, the House of Representatives.

The only way to keep them in check is by having a strong Conservative crossbench - Conservative Party Insurance, if you like.

Mr Shelton explains that's why it's more important than ever, whoever you vote for to form government in the House of Representatives, to vote for a Conservative Party candidate when you vote for the Senate.
