Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi has suggested a way Australia can add baseload capacity in a way that the company that is going to build it can be offered contractual and operational certainty and security.
Senator Bernardi says the federal government needs to “level up” the playing field because, everything to do with our electricity market that’s bad is the result of government decision making, and interference in the free market.
He’s told 2GB’s Chris Kenny the government can use its power in a positive way that saves taxpayers’ money.
