Voters annoyed at by-election waste: Lambert

July 12, 2018

Taxpayers are set to be hit with a bill for more than five million dollars for the five federal by-elections to be held on 28 July, the Conservative Party's South Australian Senate candidate Rikki Lambert observed.

There are claims even more federal by-elections may be needed because some MP's haven't been able to prove they were not also citizens of another country when they were elected.

Mr Lambert has told Adelaide radio station FIVEaa, while the opinion polls have the former Nick Xenophon Team member for Mayo Rebekah Sharkie (pictured) well in the lead, voters are right to be annoyed about being put through 2 elections in less than 10 months.
