UN migration pact withdrawal good news, Paris retreat should be next

The Conservative Party has welcomed the Morrison Government’s latest adoption of its policies with an expected announcement today that Australia will not sign up to the UN’s compact on migration.

“The closer we get to the election, the more of our policies the Government adopts. Just imagine what could be achieved if our Senate candidates are elected,” party spokesman and Queensland Senate candidate Lyle Shelton said.

“We are thrilled that the government is looking to fight its way back into an election-winning position by adopting our policies,” he said.

The Conservatives have been calling for Australia to withdraw from the UN’s out-dated and corrupted convention on refugees since August 2017 so that Australia can determined its own immigration policies independent of globalist pressure.

The Morrison Government’s move follows the Trump Administration and Hungarian Government decisions to also withdraw from the global compact on immigration.

“Leftist elites in the political and media class demonise US President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban but it is time the slurs stopped and serious policy thinking began,” Mr Shelton said.

“Australia should determine its immigration policy free of the influence of global elites whose real agenda is a form of open border policy,” he continued.

The UN compact on migration would require Australia to weaken its border protection policies by limiting its ability to detain people who paid people smugglers to get to Australia.

Mr Shelton said the next global compact Australia should withdraw from is the Paris agreement on global warming.

The Katowice Climate Change Conference in Poland next month would be the opportune time.

Mr Shelton said, “We won’t have coherent energy policy that is able to provide base-load power at affordable prices while ever we are under the influence of UN global elites whose real agenda is a form of global socialism.”

Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has told Peta Credlin on Sky News it’s important we pull out of Paris now.
