Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull yesterday dumped a key element of his signature energy legislation, admitting he didn’t have the numbers in parliament if it was attached to a 26 per cent emissions reduction target. That has been welcomed by Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi.
