Senator Cory Bernardi's Budget-Night wrap says it is a political fix based on heroic assumptions, designed to help the government get through an imminent Federal Election.
In this video on Facebook, Senator Bernardi says the budget is being inflated by inordinately high immigration rates that aren't delivering for everyday Australians.
The budget is also away with heroic assumptions about economic and wage growth, and fantasy expectations of revenue recovery by the ATO and from cracking down on illicit tobacco.
Senator Bernardi has also expressed concerns about the government's war on currency and Australians' privacy represented by the proposed ban on large cash transactions.
He likened the Treasurer to Disney's Mickey Mouse classic, the Sorceror's Apprentice, unable to control all the dancing brooms that have been put in motion. Absent the wise magician to come set the budget back in order, we need a strong Australian Conservatives representation in the senate crossbench to get the budget back in the black.
