Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has warned of the dangers of the government signing an open-ended trade agreement with Pacific nations.
The Trans Pacific Partnership legislation continues its passage through parliament, but yesterday, Senator Bernardi's attempt to insert a sunset clause amendment, which would effective make parliament revisit the agreement in ten years, was defeated by the government.
Senator Bernardi warned the senate about the perils of an open-ended deal with a salient example involving... vodka.
