The lunatics have taken over the asylum: Bernardi

October 12, 2018

Tuesday night's protest against light projections on the sails of the Sydney Opera House to promote the barrier draw results for Racing NSW’s $13 million Everest horse race has exposed the hypocrisy of the Left, according to Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi.

The Guardian reports, hundreds of demonstrators shone torches on to the Sydney Opera House to demonstrate against the controversial advertising campaign for a horse race that has divided the city and exposed the fault lines in Australia’s culture wars.

The protesters, who sought to interfere with the display on the world heritage-listed structure, chanted “Not for sale” and “Whose house? Our house”.

Senator Bernardi has told the Triple M network's Luke Bona, Tuesday's protest is almost amusing in its irony.
