The down side of renewables: York

Despite global alarmists, the left and those who reap massive financial benefits from taxpayer-funded subsidies shouting their benefits, renewable energy technologies have a couple of massive down sides.

The Conservative Party's New South Wales Senate candidate Sophie York spoke at this month's Energy Poverty forum held at NSW Parliament House where she cited renewables' high cost and unreliability as the two main reasons that coal and nuclear power are cheaper and much more reliable base-load generating technologies.

Sophie talked about how the $57 billion Australian coal industry is a fabulous wealth generator for all Australians.
