At last, people with genuine conservative views have a high-profile champion in the Conservative Party and its leader, Senator Cory Bernardi, who is rallying his troops for an assault on the Senate at the next federal election.
The Conservatives will be running Senate candidates in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania and South Australia.
The Cairns Post reports, Sky News commentator Paul Murray summed it up best when describing the Conservative Party, saying, "Australians have been crying out for years for someone to draw a line in the sand and go to war for them against political correctness and in support of their values."
There is a growing discontent at energy policies which have pushed electricity prices sky-high, plus concern at the immigration of people with vastly different values to our own, combined with anger at an established political class that treats conservative voters like mugs.
The Conservative Party represents a beacon for common sense voters to follow, because unfortunately, most of the other standard-bearers have given up.
Senator Bernardi has told Steve Price on 2GB, the Liberal Party is beholden to government Minister Christopher Pyne and the small but influential 'Black Hand' movement that promotes anything but Conservative Party policy.
