Save taxpayers money and generate cheaper power

Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi says with AGL boss Andy Vesey refusing to budge on the closure of Liddell power station there are a number of ways to make up for the baseload power that would be lost with the closure of the station.

He’s told 2GB’s Chris Kenny there’s a simple solution to supply Australians with low-prices, reliable power and that’s by guaranteeing any new entrants to the market a level playing field by removing renewable energy subsidies.
