SAS allegations unsubstantiated: Bailey

The Conservatives lead senate candidate for Victoria, former SAS soldier Kevin Bailey has defended his former regiment following allegations contained in an unreleased Defence Force report.

Mr Bailey says claims SAS soldiers acted inappropriately in Afghanistan are hard to believe given the strict vetting process each and every one of them has to go through.

He’s told Channel Ten’s The Project such allegations of 'widespread' bad behaviour on the part of SAS soldiers are something he finds very difficult to accept.
