Marriage survey or not, Bernardi the only one committed to vote No

September 06, 2017

The Adelaide Advertiser reports today that Senator Cory Bernardi is the only South Australian senator committed to voting against homosexual marriage in the senate*.

The major statewide newspaper surveyed all federal politicians for their views on the marriage postal survey, and how they would vote regardless of the survey result.

All of the Labor, Greens and Nick Xenophon Team MPs responded supporting homosexual marriage, as did Liberal ministers Christopher Pyne and Simon Birmingham.

* The online version of the article (only accessible to News Ltd subscribers) included all responses given by federal politicians. No other federal MP committed to voting against homosexual marriage even of the marriage survey result supported it.
