Senator Cory Bernardi spoke with Luke Grant on Sydney's 2GB radio station tonight about the Greens' latest attacks on Australia Day.
In a broad-ranging interview, Senator Bernardi:
- tackled the Greens on their push to change the date of Australia Day, and change other traditional dates and celebrations;
- addressed the crime problems in Victoria, talking about African migration, Islam and immigration in general
- drew plaudits from Luke Grant for our common sense campaign for cheaper cars
"Every year the Greens beat the same drum," Senator Bernardi said in response to their calls for changing the date and sombre reflection on 'genocide' this Australia Day, "They are against anything that celebrates Australian culture, values, traditions and - in effect - the reality of Australian history. They are always looking for a cause to divide this country rather than working hard to unite Indigenous australians, migrants and others born here of different ancestry. Instead the Greens look to divide and play the race card."
