Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has called for a radical shake up of all of the tribunals and commissions which constantly threaten our freedom of speech and expression.

Senator Bernardi's calls comes a day after the Press Council handed down a ruling clearing cartoonist Mark Knight of any breach of media standards over a cartoon he drew last year of tennis player Serena Williams which sparked complaints of racism and sexism.
The cartoon (below) which featured in Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper and several other metropolitan News Corp publications shows Williams throwing a tantrum during her loss to Japan's Naomi Osaka in last year's US Open.
While the Conservative Party welcomes the Press Council's decision, it notes that Channel 9's Sonia Kruger was recently hauled before a New South Wales tribunal after she expressed an opinion about Muslim immigration - and that case was also thrown out.
Senator Bernardi told Paul Murray Live on Sky News last night, that the months between the complaints being lodged and eventual vindication only adds to someone's punishment for doing nothing wrong.
