Pronoun abuse

August 30, 2018

The Conservative Party's South Australian Senate candidate Rikki Lambert couldn't believe what he was hearing on statewide regional ABC radio in South Australia as he drive home to Angaston, in the Barossa Valley.

The host of the program, Sarah Tomlinson, had just been speaking to an academic from Melbourne's Monash University about how we all need to start using gender-neutral pronouns like "they" instead of "he" and "she" - so as not to offend, insult or inconvenience people who are already gender-confused.

Mr Lambert told ABC radio this kind of ridiculous political correctness is exactly the kind of thing that the Conservative Party is fighting against.
