Pre-polling begins today just under a fortnight out from the South Australian election where the Australian Conservatives are standing 33 candidates for the Lower House and MLC Robert Brokenshire and Nicolle Jachmann for the Upper House.
More than 1.2 million South Australians are enrolled to vote in the State poll on March 17 and those who can’t get to polling stations on the day can begin casting their votes early.
There are 22 pre-polling centres around the state which will be open during office hours up until election day.
The option of early voting is available for people who’ll be travelling or working on March 17, live more than eight kilometres away from a polling booth, are sick or live in facilities such as nursing homes. Mobile voting teams servicing remote and regional parts of the state will begin work later this week.
