The South Australian Government has failed to adopt almost half of the 62 recommendations that came out of an inquiry into the 2016/17 state-wide blackouts.
With only 36 of the recommendations being adopted you have to ask weather this government is really committed to supplying long-term reliable energy says South Australian Conservative MLCs Robert Brokenshire and Dennis Hood.
"The drive to renewables is blinding this government to the needs of the people," they said.
“Instead of implementing a long term solution they took a look at the election calendar and ran towards a quick fix that we all hope will be enough to get us through a very hot summer.”
“Government must look to the needs we have now, next year and down the track. We shouldn’t have a question mark over power supply every time the temperature rises. We need a reliable energy supply.”
