Politicians' bad habits need to change: Bernardi

April 19, 2018

Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi has pointed to the bad habit politicians have of not dealing with pressing issues, like our nation’s exploding debt and skyrocketing electricity prices.

He says they tend to wait until those situations reach crisis-point before they act.

Senator Bernardi has told Paul Murray Live on Sky News politicians don’t get re-elected by preventing a crisis, they get re-elected by responding to a crisis which is why the political class is held in such low regard by the general public.

Senator Bernardi deals with the looming crisis of debt in his Weekly Dose of Common Sense podcast.
