Organ donation ad "a force for good": Bernardi

October 16, 2018

A controversial advert which shows Jesus Christ agreeing to become an organ donor has been called "a force for good" by Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi.

The Daily Mail reports, the two-and-a-half minute advert shows two armed guards asking Jesus if he would like to donate his organs after being nailed to the cross before his death.

The commercial has infuriated Muslim leader Keysar Trad who said the advert 'showed irreverence towards venerated figures'.

But while Senator Bernardi said he felt slight discomfort and somewhat conflicted watching the ad, he thinks the essential message is important in that Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.

He's told Paul Murray Live on Sky News the confected outrage being expressed at the ad is predictable.
