Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi says the behaviour of One Nation's two most senior officials outside the federal parliament is unedifying.
Pauline Hanson’s chief of staff, James Ashby (pictured on the right) and One Nation’s Queensland leader, Steve Dickson were caught up in an undercover investigation and say they had “got on the sauce” when they were recorded talking about soliciting millions of dollars in foreign donations from the American gun lobby.
Earlier today the pair said Ms Hanson was “not feeling well” when asked where the One Nation leader was.
Both Mr Ashby and Mr Dickson fronted the media this afternoon to explain their conduct, which was revealed in the Al Jazeera documentary How To Sell A Massacre.
Senator Bernardi told ABC Radio Adelaide he laments the inconsistency of One Nation's policy platform.
