New anti-bullying laws proposed by SA Conservatives

September 06, 2017

Australian Conservatives SA Member of Legislative Council, the Hon. Dennis Hood, has proposed tougher anti-bullying laws after the tragic death of a 13-year old Adelaide schoolgirl.

The Adelaide Advertiser newspaper reported today that Mr Hood said the new legislation would be modelled on Victoria’s anti-bullying law Brodie’s Law, under which people who cause physical or mental harm to another person through bullying face up to 10 years in jail.
