More than 30% of Australians don’t vote for a major party

June 05, 2018

The Conservative Party's founder and leader, Senator Cory Bernardi, notes that over 30% of Australians have woken up to the potential to use their senate vote to hold a Liberal/National or Labor government to account in the Senate.

Senator Bernardi says that, thus far, crossbenchers elected outside the major parties have in many cases produced very expensive horse-trading which runs into costing Australian taxpayers billions of dollars extra every year.

Senator Bernardi has told The Daily Telegraph’s Miranda Devine Live that voting for the Conservative Party in the senate, takes away that expensive uncertainty and is guaranteed to deliver more sensible policies with common sense senators able to best shape federal legislation.
