Senator Cory Bernardi has congratulated the No campaign on its efforts, as the ABS declared the Marriage Law Postal Survey result nationwide saw close to 40% voting No to redefining marriage.
Prominent No campaigner Lyle Shelton told Sky News earlier today that the Yes campaign had 10 years of pushing to redefine marriage, whereas the VoteNO campaign had only organised in recent months.
In the video (shown below) released within hours of the result, Senator Bernardi encouraged conservatives to join Australian Conservatives because the battle for our freedoms has only just begun. Debate on a Private Member's Bill to redefine marriage will begin soon in the Senate.
Senator Bernardi also wrote on this topic in his Weekly Dose of Common Sense today.
