After his sudden entry into Federal politics as Director of Communications for Cory Bernardi's Australian Conservatives, the former head of the Australian Christian Lobby told Daily Telegraph columnist Miranda Devine, how his work in the “No” campaign in the same-sex marriage debate had reinforced his belief that regular voters were being forgotten by politicians.
“People were crying out for common sense representation as we travelled around the country for the No campaign,” Mr Shelton said.
