Lambert calls for a fair go from media

March 21, 2019

The Conservative Party's South Australian Senate candidate Rikki Lambert writes:

"Thank God for local news! Australia must wake up - the national and state media or ‘mass media’ have failed you.

The mass media complain about ugly public debate, yet they give airtime to one-trick ponies or rotten major parties that gave us the knifing of prime ministers, rorts, affairs and scandals.

The mass media reward degeneracy by slamming the door in the face of newer parties that offer sensible, principled solutions.

What happened to competition and a level playing field?

Local media outlets have a track record of giving candidates a fair go and scrutiny.

Parties can run local candidates who end up being disappointments and the mass media’s lazy, presidential-style Morrison-Shorten campaign will deliver more garbage.

Through  local news and events, you can vet the candidates better than the mass media and the parties.

The white Senate ballot paper is your safe space to bring back common sense."
