Labor's house-price lie a money-grab

February 14, 2019

The Labor Party's claim that Bill Shorten's planned changes to negative gearing are designed to force Australian house prices down is another Labor lie, according to Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi.

House prices across the country have already started falling at the prospect that the capital gains tax on investment properties will double if Labor is elected and investors are fleeing the market already.

Senator Bernardi says Labor governments are always about tax and spend and this really moves the economic goal posts for all Australians.
