Labor moves to weaken border protection

October 25, 2018

The Labor Party is pushing the Morrison Coalition government to weaken Australia's border protection laws by allowing the illegal immigrants detained offshore to be resettled from Nauru to New Zealand.

Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi says by opening up the option of resettlement in New Zealand, a Labor government would see the resumption of the people smuggling trade which has claimed so many lives.

Senator Bernardi has told Paul Murray Live on Sky News, Labor's Anthony Albanese (pictured) is again virtue signalling to supporters on the Left.
