Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi says Josh Frydenberg (pictured) makes no sense at all after the Energy Minister told The Daily Telegraph’s Miranda Devine Live this week that the Coalition government has to put forward an energy policy that has some kind of bipartisan agreement.
The Coalition government has been trying to bolster the case for its National Energy Guarantee which aims to combine the goals of reliable electricity and lower carbon emissions in a single policy at the same time keeping a lid on internal unrest from disaffected Coalition backbenchers.
Senator Bernardi says it’s just an energy cop-out by the Minister.
