In case of peril - break glass

June 07, 2018

Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi is calling on Education Minister Simon Birmingham to intervene and encourage South Australian universities to accept an offer from the Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation and establish a course on Western Civilisation in South Australia.

The ANU has defended its back-flip on an agreement to run the course blaming former Prime Minister and current Ramsay Centre director Tony Abbott’s “aggressive” article about the centre’s plans.

Senator Bernardi has told 2GB’s Luke Grant there’s nothing wrong with advocating the principles of Western civilisation and the ANU’s refusal to host the course is an unforgivable abject disgrace.
