The collective identity of Australia is being threatened by immigration which is out of line with our infrastructure capabilities and our social, cultural and economic interests.
Conservative Party policy is to immediately halve our current migrant intake and to focus on quality rather than quantity migration.
Daily Telegraph columnist Miranda Devine told this month's inaugural Queensland Conservative Party convention, the problem of high immigration levels needs to be addressed now.
Ms Devine also said the Conservative Party was representing Australian families in creative ways, better than any other party including the Liberal Party :
"There are lots of creative ways of supporting families and no party does that except Australian Conservatives. I've known Cory (Bernardi) for a long time in politics and I've always admired his courage under fire, his refusal ever to compromise. At times he was thought - even I thought - he should bend a little more, he was being too intellectual - but he refused to, and Amen, he saw what nobody else saw. The Liberal Party was being hollowed out by its cowardice, political correctness, identity politics and all the rest - and the lack of commitment to families."
