When most people think of Australian politics, they think of a classic battle of ideas between the left and the right, between socialism and common sense.
But as the Conservative Party's Queensland Senate candidate Lyle Shelton explains, the inner city areas of the nation are driving political decisions by the major parties - and dragging them to the political left.
Mr Shelton uses as an example, the contradictory messages spread by the Liberal National Party in Queensland depending on where they are campaigning. Policies designed to win inner city votes have the potential to destroy the economy and further divide Australia.
