We don't want these people here: Bernardi

September 21, 2018

The Senate has rejected a motion from Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi to immediately deport convicted terrorists who hold dual citizenship.

His motion (below) was defeated by 44 votes to 4 with Labor, Liberal, Greens, Centre Alliance and other crossbenchers voting against it.

Senator Bernardi has told Triple M's Luke Bona, he is staggered that the motion didn't pass given the danger these people pose to Australian society.
