Get the UN out of Australian politics: Bernardi

September 28, 2018

Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has repeated his calls for Australia to withdraw from the United Nation's Paris Climate pact which is set to cost us billions of dollars in contributions over the coming years.

The South Australian senator also says we should follow the USA's example and withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), which regularly tries to lecture Australia on how we conduct ourselves as a nation.

Following a UN demand this week for another $400 million dollars on top of the $500 million we've already given to the UN Climate Fund for redistribution to underdeveloped nations, Senator Bernardi says we shouldn't put up with this anymore.

He's told 2GB's Michael McLaren the United Nations' constant demands and pontificating are unnecessary and they're becoming very tiresome.
