Researchers believe they have located the final resting place of the HMS Endeavour, off of Rhode Island in the north-eastern United States of America, according to the Sydney Morning-Herald.
The Conservative Party has consistently celebrated Australia's maritime heritage and Western civilised roots, including with our Action Plan commemorating Captain Cook's landing with the Endeavour in Botany Bay (click the image below to access the Action Plan).
The news of the discovery is bound to trigger anguish for the tradition-destroying Greens party, whose hysterics about changing the date of Australia Day included South Australian Green senator Sarah Hanson-Young erroneously suggesting the 26 January date commemorated Cook's landing.
Whilst the discovery of the Endeavour's remains has not yet been confirmed, the Conservatives are encouraged by the prospect that the April 2020 celebrations marking 250 years since Cook's arrival in Botany Bay might be marked by the return of the wreck.
