Dennis Hood defects

March 26, 2018

Australian Conservatives’ upper house MP Dennis Hood has defected to join the SA Liberal party, as his fellow Australian Conservatives MLC, Robert Brokenshire looks highly unlikely to retain his seat late in the counting from the 17 March state election.

Mr Hood, was first elected in 2006, representing the Family First party. The minor party amalgamated into the Australian Conservatives in April last year.

Senator Bernardi learned this morning of Mr Hood's defection. Senator Bernardi launched Australian Conservatives last February to unite conservatives on a better way for the nation.
