Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi says we need to be intolerant of people who are trying to change our way of life and traditions.
Senator Bernardi’s call comes in the wake of hundreds of demonstrators descending on Whitehall in London to protest against the arrest and imprisonment without trial of journalist and founder of the English Defence League, Tommy Robinson, for allegedly breaching the peace outside a Leeds courthouse.
Robinson, who is famous for leading protests against the influence of Islam in Britain was detained by police, without legal representation, while streaming a Facebook live video outside a grooming trial in the West Yorkshire city of Leeds on Friday morning.
Senator Bernardi has told Ben Fordham on Sky News he can understand people wanting to protect our culture, our values, our way of life and traditions.
