Private schools will be hit with discrimination complaints if they don’t give girls the option to wear long pants or shorts, according to South Australia’s Equal Opportunity Commissioner.
Australian Conservatives lead South Australian Senate candidate Rikki Lambert says this kind of political correctness is part of a wider socialist push to deconstruct gender in our society.
The Advertiser newspaper reports, Commissioner Niki Vincent has had inquiries from parents and says it is only a matter of time before official complaints are lodged, as has happened interstate.
Dr Vincent said they would require conciliation and, in the worst-case scenario, could end up in costly tribunal cases and schools would be the ones on the wrong side of equal opportunity law.
Rikki Lambert has told Jeremy Cordeaux on Adelaide radio station FIVEaa the drive towards worldwide gender fluidity is just crazy.
