The Conservative Party has been advocating that the best insurance against the radical positions of the Greens or Nationals on the Basin Plan is to install Conservative senators in the next Senate. This is particularly important as the next 6-year Senate term covers the conclusion of the negotiations, implementation and legislation of measures to give the Basin Plan full legal effect.
