Conservatives will fight Labor’s union mates’ attacks on farmers

January 15, 2019

The Conservative Party will fight Labor’s union mates’ attempts to dismantle the working holiday visa program which many farmers rely on for seasonal workers.

Queensland Senate candidate Lyle Shelton said he hoped the Morrison Government would be returned - but with a Labor victory looking likely, it was imperative true conservatives were elected to sandbag the Senate against Labor’s attacks on farmers.

“The Conservative Party will listen to Queensland’s farmers, not the unions that want to capture and control Australia’s industries," Mr Shelton said.

“Principled Conservatives in the Senate will act as third-party insurance to stop or limit the damage of a likely Labor administration,” Mr Shelton concluded.
