The sixth of November is the 19th anniversary of the defeat of the divisive Republic referendum, which was led by now former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
The Conservative Party will celebrate the day as a demonstration of its commitment to our constitution and traditions.
This week, on the occasion of the visit to Australia of His Royal Highness Prince Harry the Duke of Sussex and his newlywed wife Her Royal Highness Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi successfully passed a motion in the senate in support of the monarchy and the Australian Constitution.
Labor used the opportunity of Senator Bernardi's motion to yet again say they did not support the constitution, because they want to change it to have a republic referendum again.
Senator Bernardi has told the Triple M network's Luke Bona the monarchy is a constitutional pillar of a stable Australian society and our traditions.
