Conservatives only defence against the Labor-Green gender bending agenda

November 30, 2018

The passing of more gender-bending legislation in the Northern Territory parliament (pictured) by Labor and the Greens highlights the extreme risk of a federal Labor-Greens Government after the May election.

Conservative Party spokesman and Queensland Senate candidate Lyle Shelton said Labor and the Greens, aided by the Left of the Liberal Party, would continue the war on the truth about gender.

“A Shorten Labor-Green government is every parents’ worst nightmare. Gender-bending ‘Safe Schools’ programs would again receive Commonwealth money and an LGBTIQA commissioner will be employed by the Australian Human Rights Commission to be a rainbow cop on the beat prosecuting anyone who does not fall into line with gender queer theory," Mr Shelton said.

“The only reliable defence against the Green-Left’s war on gender will be Conservative Party Senators elected to the Senate. We will not shirk this debate. By all means the tiny fraction of children who feel uncomfortable for whatever reason with their biological sex should be given all compassion and support. But this must not mean overturning what it means to be a boy or a girl for everyone else," he went on.

“The promotion of gender fluid ideology in schools had led to unprecedented numbers of children presenting at newly established gender clinics. Clearly this is a fad driven by Green-Left ideology which has captured Labor and the Greens and a cross-section of Liberal politicians,” he continued.

Mr Shelton said children should not be put on a pathway to puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and then irreversible surgery because of ideology.

Yesterday the Northern Territory followed the Tasmanian Lower House and the Queensland Parliament in allowing people to change their gender on their birth certificate without even undergoing sex-change surgery.
