Sad state of affairs when foreign money needed for energy infrastructure

March 29, 2018

Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi and The Spectator's Rowan Dean have explained to Paul Murray Live on Sky News why we now need a Chinese company to keep AGL's Liddell power station (pictured) open.

Senator Bernardi said,"If an Australian company is not prepared to keep a coal-fired power station open, we should be open to foreign bidders - we need it."

Panellist and Spectator Australia editor Rowan Dean furiously agreed, "We should never have gone down this path to begin with … the idea that we find ourselves in this position is abominable and the people who built this country if they were still alive would be shaking their heads in disbelief,” Mr Dean said.
