Bernardi slams ANU’s back-flip

June 06, 2018

Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi is not happy with the Australian National University, after it withdrew from negotiations with the conservative Ramsay Centre to set up a course in Western civilisation.

The ANU cited the reason for its back-flip, an article by Ramsay Centre director, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott it claims was suggesting the centre was pushing a “racist and radically conservative agenda”.

Senator Bernardi has told 2GB’s Luke Grant he thinks the university’s rejection of tens of millions of dollars in annual funding and scholarships for the course is a disgrace.
