Bernardi's #AC100 Australia Day playlist may head to court

January 20, 2018

The Daily Telegraph newspaper reports today that one left-wing artist, Tim Rogers of alternative rock band you am i, has issued a legal demand to senator Cory Bernardi to remove the band's hit song 'Berlin Chair' from the Australian Conservatives' leader's #AC100 playlist for Australia Day

Senator Bernardi said “This is the totalitarian instinct of the Left trying to censor the views and listening tastes of everyday Australians. I won’t be silenced.”

The Conservatives leader has previously stared down Savage Garden's Darren Hayes, Bernard Fanning and Powderfinger, the Hilltop Hoods, Iva Davies from Icehouse and Troy Cassar-Daly who have all demanded their songs be removed from the playlist.

In today's Daily Telegraph article, Rose Tattoo frontman Angry Anderson has leapt to Senator Bernardi's defence, savaging 'precious' artists and telling them 'tough titties'.
