The Australian newspaper has noted Australian Conservatives are the first of several new parties to be close to securing NSW state registration for the 2019 state election.
Australian Conservatives founder and Senator Cory Bernardi said there was great discontent with the big parties.
“There is a huge group of conservative voters who think there has to be a better way,” he said. “We would seek to fly the flag in as many seats as we ... can.”
The Australian observed that the Conservatives could share the balance of power in the NSW Legislative Council after the next election.
