Australian Conservatives leader and South Australian Senator Cory Bernardi said Labor MP Susan Lamb should get over the circumstances that have caused her citizenship issues because they're not excuses for her to be avoid referral to the High Court.
Yesterday Lamb told Parliament she doesn't have the legal authority to obtain the document needed to renounce her British citizenship.
Yet as this Tweet from an editor from the Project television program demonstrates - posted within an hour of Ms Lamb's speech to parliament - there are still questions to be answered.
The Queensland Labor MP is being urged to refer herself to the High Court over claims she holds dual citizenship.
Lamb says she can't clarify her citizenship because her mother left when she was just six years old.
