Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has called on the major parties to implement real-time donations disclosure as the Conservatives did yesterday.
Political parties are not legally required to file donation disclosure forms with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) until late October.
However, in the interests of transparency and disclosure reform, and so that voters don't have to wait another year for those details to be made public, the Conservatives just released all relevant information.
Senator Bernardi told Paul Murray Live on Sky News, he's given all the required information to the AEC four days after the end of the financial year and published full disclosure details on the Conservative Party’s website.
