Australian Conservatives to boost rural and regional health

February 28, 2018

Australian Conservatives' candidate for Narungga Rebecca Hewett has told The Yorke Peninsula Country Times that, "Australian Conservatives members have not made a secret of the fact we are very concerned about the lack of health, mental health and allied health services across Narungga.”

"Labor has transformed health right out of country areas and we have seen hospital infrastructure and basic maintenance needs ignored," she said.

"As a result, vital surgical space, medical staff and other allied health services have come under threat."

Under their fully-costed policies the Australian Conservatives will fund an additional $100 million for country hospitals, reversing Labor’s pitiful record on rural and regional health care.
